Simon Alexander is an agent, mentor and consultant for independent photographers working with them to perfect their portfolios and photographic style and increase their clients while pursuing their careers.
He is a photography educator, speaker as well as a portfolio reviewer for The Eddie Adams Workshop, Eyeist.com, ASMP, APA, NYC Fotoworks, Pratt, School of Visual Arts, The International Center of Photography and the Hallmark Institute of Photography, where he is an Industry Advisory Board Member. He has also been a commencement and guest speaker and final portfolio panelist for the Hallmark Institute.
As an Internationally published portrait photographer for over twenty years he has exhibited and taught in Europe and America since winning the Agfa Bursary Award for Excellence in Photography. His portraits have been exhibited at The National Portrait Gallery and The Design Museum in London and are in their permanent archives. His commissioned work has appeared in many national and international magazines and advertising campaigns. His photography has been published in books that include Studio Portrait Photography by Pro Photo, Museum New York by Ellipsis and The Daily Book ofPhotography by Walter Foster Publishing.

Simon Alexander was born in London, the son of architect and a painter and grew up around the world, living in Oman, Kuwait, Paris, Singapore before returning to England to study photography. His mother bought him his first real camera and instilled in him the passion for discovering the unknown and making images.
Simon has exhibited and taught in Europe and America and since winning the Agfa Bursary Award for Excellence in Photography has pursued his singular love for the black and white portrait in a square format. His portraits have been purchased for exhibition at The National Portrait Gallery and The Design Museum in London and their permanent archives.
Books include Studio Portrait Photography by Pro Photo, Museum New York by Ellipsis and The Daily Book of Photography by Walter Foster.
When not making images he can be found teaching and consulting with emerging professional photographers. He is a portfolio reviewer for The Eddie Adams Workshop, ASMP, APA, NYC Fotoworks and The Hallmark Institute of Photography, where he has also been a commencement speaker and lecturer; he currently serves on their Industry Advisory Board.
